The team is headed into today’s fixture against Kenya with oozing confidence and optimism for a good result. They had their last training on Friday afternoon. Their head coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyinji indicated all is set for the showdown.
‘’We have had our final touches and surely very ready for tomorrow’s game and I want to assure every supporter that the team is committed to perform well,’’ Coach Ayub said on Friday after training.
He insisted on the importance of picking a positive result away because it brings confidence for the return leg. The team captain, Fauzia Najjemba also shared a similar belief. She added that the players are in perfect shape as they head into the game.
‘’We have had our last training and very set for the game tomorrow (Saturday). We hope to give our very best so that we start the campaign on a positive note,’’ Najjemba said.
They will play the second leg on October 8 in Kampala with the winner on aggregate advancing to the next stage. At this stage, the winner between Uganda and Kenya will face off with the winner between South Africa and Mozambique.
