Ugandans Have Stopped Me From Becoming Billionaire – President Museveni

President Museveni has said that Ugandans have stopped him from becoming a billionaire. Addressing the country on the eve of the 61st independence anniversary, Museveni said that if he was in the US, he would now be a billionaire from his milk business.

This is because he would be having a market of about 320m people. However, in Uganda, people support him once in a while. They buy and sometimes they don’t.

He then has to take the milk to Kenya and it gets stopped at the border. The same things happen with Rwanda, Congo and other East African borders.

Basically, he would be a massively rich man if this stop-and-start mechanism wasn’t involved in his business. But since these hurdles are existent, that’s why he’s still Museveni.

“If I was living in the US, I would be a billionaire by now because I would have a market of about 320m. But in Uganda, I have to beg people to buy my milk. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. Then I have to take it to Kenya and they close the border on me. Same thing with Rwanda, Congo etc. If without the start and stop mechanism, I would now be a billionaire but I’m now Museveni,” said the President.

Furthermore, he called out all these leaders promoting sectarianism. Museveni said that politics of tribe, religion and other cultural factors won’t be tolerated.

This is because as African patriotic leaders, they are trying to create a United States of Africa. It has been the goal since the 1960s. However, the foreign actors are trying to create a Latin America in Africa.
