UNBS Stops The Production Of Fake Sanitizers

The Government together with Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) managed to ban the production of Fake sanitizers in one of the popular companies called UKI Uganda Limited.

Reports claim that the UKI Hand Sanitizer’ were stopped to continue processing  by the UNBS at the time of making checkups of unlawful sanitizers on the market. Many business persons are using the opportunity to make a lot of money in the abrupt business caused by the deadly COVID19.

To eliminate all companies producing fake sanitizers, the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) ordered all Ugandans to look for a Q mark or Certificate of Conformity (COC) on all Sanitizer products. In case they are fake, they cause risks of widening Corona-virus in the country.

According to the Public relations officer from the UNBS Maureen Kamusiime, all Sanitizers made in Uganda must posses a Q-Mark symbol. This will help Ugandans to be more safe and sure about their lives other than wasting time using fake products that will increase the corona virus spread unknowingly
