An official in the UNEB has was quoted saying that the 2022 Senior Four results will be released by the Minister of Education and Sports Hon Janet Kataha Museveni. Like the case on PLE, the S.4 results will be released from State House, Nakasero in Kampala.
Its reported that there will be a briefing on the performance of students on Wednesday February 8th, 2023. This will be in the presence of Mrs Museveni together with other Ministry of Education top officials. This is a precursor to the release of the results.
The briefing will be done by Dan Odongo, UNEB’s Executive Secretary. The Board Chairperson Prof Mary Okwakol will present the briefing to the Minister. After the briefing, an announcement of the official date for the release of the results, and the related modalities will be made.
This will be the second set of the national exams to be released after PLE results that were released last week. According to UNEB, a total of 349,445 candidates registered to sit the Uganda Certificate of Education examinations from 3,703 Examination Centres. Out of these, 175,923 (50.3%) of the candidates are males, while 173,522 (49.7%) are females.
A total of 114,200 (32.7%) of the candidates were funded under the Universal Secondary Education (USE) Programme. 235,245 (77.3%) candidates are Non-Universal Secondary Education students. 51 of the candidates wrote their examinations from Luzira Government Prison. However, 519 of the candidates were Special Needs Education (SNE) candidates.
