During his interview with AFP journalist on Thursday, the American physician and immunologist who has served as the director of National Institute of Allergy and infectious diseases is confident that the world will soon discover the vaccine which will end the deadly virus, following the early trial results which he said were ‘encouraging’.
‘’ I don’t think we are here to talk about getting back to the pandemic lockdowns,’he spoke this when asked whether States like Texas and California, where there is a sudden increase in a number of positive cases should be reordered to stay at home.
‘I think we are going to talk about how we can best control those regions of US that seem to have an increasing number of positive cases.
The US is the global leader in the number of confirmed coronavirs cases and in fatalities, with deaths toll nearly 120,000.
But whilst New Jersey and New York have managed to control their covid-19 outbreaks, twenty States are now seeing a surge in their caseloads – creating a fairly level high at the national case chart.
Anthony Fausi pronounced a strict approach as the country gets back to normal, not leaving out an important question of when to reopen schools.
