The accused are reportedly said to have been attacked while busy roasting the chicken.

One of the accused, Abayo Mwenda is said to have escaped from Shimo La Tewa prison a couple of years ago.

Angry villagers used wire to tie the suspects, beat them seriously, poured petrol on their bodies, then set them on fire.

One of the villagers identified as Gitari Catherine said she heard voices of some men outside during the night shouting in rallying to attack, but she didn’t bother moving out to check.

I heard voices at night rallying to attack, but on Thursday morning, I was very shocked to see bodies lying here,’she said.
