Mwenge has previously played for clubs like AS Vita, and Saint Loi Lupopo which are all big clubs in the DRC.
Born in 1998, he becomes Vipers’ third signing in the January transfer window after Martin Kiiza and Karim Ndugwa. The attacking midfielder becomes the sixth Congolese player at St Mary’s Kitende.
The other 5 are Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Osomba, Gracia Mpongo Mbombo, Rodriguez Shamamba and Darcy Mbaka Kipoyi.
The 25-year-old will vie for a starting spot with the likes of Karim Watambala, Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye, Najib Yiga, Mpongo among others.

The club is also expected to continue being busy in this transfer window. This is as they prepare for the Uganda Premier League to resume in February. Vipers are just 2 points behind table leaders KCCA.
The Venoms are also in the group stages of the CAF Champions League for the first time ever. They will also be hoping to try and retain the Stanbic Uganda cup won last season.
Vipers also meanwhile yesterday unveiled a new coach in Roberto Luiz Bianchi Pelliser. Bianchi, a Brazilian replaced Robertinho another Brazilian who left the club for Tanzanian giants Simba SC. Bianchi will be deputized by a Spanish national Roberto Martinez.
