Walusimbi is excited about the reported 200% salary increment at his new South African club compared to the 170k monthly salary he has been pocketing at his former club, Gor Mahia.

I already know that Kaizer Chiefs is a great football club that every African footballer dreams of, I always wanted to join a bigger club to help me move a step in my career,’’he added.

Walusimbi chose Kaizer Chiefs instead!

As a sign of protection, he said his reason of coming to Kenya was to look for money.

Godfrey Walusimbi joined the Kenyan soccer giants, Gor Mahia from Don Bosco, the Congolese side in the year 2013 and has since then won 3 league titles and 2 local cups during his stay at Kogalo, according to Nairobi News.
