This was as he held a press conference for his upcoming concert. The Kutama singer rallied Ugandans to come and support him and other Ugandan musicians who are having concerts.
This is because if these Ugandan crowds don’t support their fellows but support Nigerians in huge numbers, it’s just hypocrisy.
“I request all of you to come and support me in huge numbers. Just like you have been doing for Nigerians. Not only just me but also other Ugandan artistes. There is no one else that will make us great if you don’t. Besides, we even have better talent than the Nigerians,” claimed Fik Fameica.
The self-styled King Kong is set to have a concert on the 26th of this month. The concert dubbed “Fik Fameica Live in Concert” will take place at Hotel Africana.
The singer who last held a concert in 2018 at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds that hugely flopped is optimistic that he will this time pull it off.
Meanwhile, the dissatisfaction of Ugandan artistes over Nigerians bossing their own land seems like it’s not going to end soon.
These have continued to express their disappointment on fans showing them less support but piling it a lot on the Nigerians.
Some of the big names such as Jose Chameleone and Juliana Kanyomozi have come out to publicize their views over this matter.
Chameleone revealed that although Nigerians have good music, they should always prioritize cultural exchanges while here. They should at least take something back with them.
For Juliana, she said that it’s high time these Nigerians reciprocated the love and support given to them by Ugandans.
