Many artistes graced the ceremony such as Ykee Benda, Pallaso, Karole Kasita, Clever J, Rocky Giant among others.
Weasel who performed the day earlier on at Comedy Store was expected at the function. He however didn’t turn up leaving fans questioning why he didn’t show up yet he was the closest to the late singer.
While talking about the late singer, Pallaso who was close to him said it is still hard to accept even after 4 years. He however said that he’s glad Radio shared his talent with the rest of the world.
Ykee Benda while paying tribute to the late Neera singer said that he was one of the best and unequaled.
“The truth is Radio was in a class of his own. He was unrivaled. I myself wasn’t so much interested in singing until Radio came up. He wasn’t much into showbiz other than making music for the world,” Ykee Benda said.
Meanwhile, Weasel earlier on announced through a Facebook post that they are planning to hold a festival in Radio’s memory. This will hopefully start next year according to Weasel.
“We celebrate your Legacy always Moses. Hopefully next year we shall be holding a Radio festival,” Weasel wrote on their Facebook page.
Radio’s mother meanwhile said that they are still waiting on the government’s promise of making Radio’s grave a tourist attraction.
The government announced this 4 years ago during his funeral but nothing has materialized about this promise.
