The question is, must you give an account of your relationship to your inner circle?
Inner circles are the people who are considered important in your life, the people who know you very well and you openly relate with them. They may include; your parents, siblings, very close friends, Pastor, mentors among others.
When then should they know about your partner? Is it very important for you to introduce your partner to them? If so, when is the right time? The truth is, there may not be a specific period of time within which you can do this.
I can say though, the time your heart and mind come together and agree on the person you are dating, then you can let them know. This may be even before approaching the person just for their counsel so that you know whether or not to go for them.
The people in this area of your life are important because you need them. Most of them are more experienced than you which means they know more. You can always share with them.
This doesn’t mean they have the final say in your relationship but their counsel is crucial. Meanwhile, this also helps your relationship in a way.
This also means the earlier you tell your inner circle about your partner or expected partner, the better. Therefore, there is no need of dating in secret because then arises a lot of questions.
