When You Look At Our Young Politicians, No One Is Like Ssemwogerere – Emmanuel Dombo

Emmanuel Dombo, the NRM Communications Director, has said none of the young politicians in Uganda is like the late Ssemwogerere. He says in all the years Ssemwogerere spent in active politics, there was never a time he disrespected or abused any person.

“Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere was very admirable. I am in pain because when you see these young politicians, there is no one like him. I have never seen a story of him abusing anyone, he was very respectable.”

On the other hand, Hon. Joseph Ssewungu, MP Kalungu County West, said he just admired the fact that Semwogerere didn’t employ guns in his fight for freedom.

“One of the things I admire about Ssemwogerere is that he never adopted the way of using a gun to take over power. He also worked for the transition of this country after the liberation.”

Hon. Paul Kawanga Ssemwogerere passed on on Friday morning at his Busiro County home. There have been so many rumors concerning the cause of his death but none as yet has been confirmed.

Some people are suspecting that he was probably poisoned. Some samples were taken yesterday to confirm this.

Ssemwogerere is to be laid to rest today at Nkumba Bufulu, in Wakiso District. For this reason DP has mobilized about 300 DP youth to guard against any anticipated chaos during the burial of this political giant.

The DP chairperson in Katabi Town Council, Mr Francis Xavier Sserwadda, said they will ensure order prevails during the burial.
