Whoever Has Issues With Elections Should Go To Court Like Raila Odinga – Emmanuel Dombo

Emmanuel Dombo, the NRM director of information, and publicity has advised opposition members to go to court. He says they should learn from Kenya’s Raila Odinga and not simply make allegations but present their petition to the courts of law.

Dombo said this because of the accusations the opposition has been throwing at NRM accusing them of malpractice in the by-elections.

“These by-elections are a result of the court decision. If someone has a dispute about these by-elections, why don’t they document and go to court like our brother Raila Odinga has done? Why would you kick ballot boxes?”

Emmanuel Dombo says all election losers have the same song, they claim, they have been cheated.

“Election losers all have the same song the world over, and they copy from the same script that they have been cheated. It’s painful to lose an election.”

“We didn’t cheat for NUP to become the leaders of the opposition. All we did was organize free and fair elections. FDC needs to do a soul search,” he added.

Dombo in fact says most of the places where the opposition won elections were filled with malpractice. The by-elections have apparently helped unearth candidates who cheated.

It should also be noted that no by-election as of late has been won by the opposition in Uganda.

Free And Fair Elections

Meanwhile, policy analyst, Godber Tumushabe, said Uganda can never have a free and fair election as long as Museveni is still president.

He said people should observe and watch how they are going to make electoral reforms as we approach 2026. Apparently, they passed the age limit bill as the country was approaching the 2021 elections.
