NBS TV presenter Samson Kasumba as usual has decided to risk the wrath of his Twitter followers. Kasumba who is always tweeting controversial tweets this time round defended the Uganda Airlines CEO, Ms Jennifer Bamuturaki.

Kasumba wondered why people want the head of a national carrier to earn like a school Headmaster. He added that what Bamuturaki earns is what her job specifies.

Therefore, people should stop raising dust. And let Bamuturaki do what her job requires of her.

“We have an Airline Manager who earns what her job requires her to earn. We are raising dust that it is a lot of money. Do we need an Airline Manager to be earning like a school headmaster?”

In his defense of Bamuturaki, Kasumba added that she’s pursuing a Masters of Arts degree in Public Administration at Makerere University.

Besides, to doubt her ability to lead the Airlines is questioning President Museveni’s credibility who is the appointing authority.

Kasumba also added that Bamuturaki has 15 years of experience for the job despite it only needing 10 years.

According to Kasumba, this won’t make news at all since its positive. Furthermore, Kasumba said that he wonders what people will say if they know how much he, a Bible Theologian, earns for just reading news.

This is if they are so irritated by Bamuturaki’s salary yet she leads one of the country’s biggest entities.

“People say the salary of Jennifer Bamuturaki is so much money, wait when they know how much a Biblical Theologian earns for working as news anchor and hosting shows @nbstv. How 20k USD is so much money is what I am still unable to understand. I just don’t get this yet,” said Kasumba.

Bamuturaki’s and Uganda Airlines case is still in COSASE. The administration of Uganda Airlines shocked the nation with their outrageous salaries.

Despite earning an enormous 87m shillings, Bamuturaki doesn’t have the academic papers she said she possesses.
