According to the letter from Minister of Internal affairs, Gen Jeje Odongo, Mr Wim Vanhelleputte will stay outside Uganda for unspecified period.
The police spokesperson, Mr Enanga Fred confirmed that the MTN CEO was already at Entebbe International Airport ready to fly back to Belgium over similar situations of National security.
This situation comes shortly after the arrest and deportation of 3 other MTN executives including MTN mobile money general manager, Ms Mussolini Elsa as well as Sale and Distribution general manager, Tabura Annie.
