Woman Arrested For Stealing 2 Mobile Phones At Police Station

A Kenyan woman identified as Nkirote Micheni Mercy, 52, has denied stealing 2 cell phones at a police station in Kamukunji Constituency, Nairobi Kenya and she instead accused her husband who is a senior police officer at that police station for framing her.

Ms Nkirote, a hotel manager, was charged with stealing mobile phones worth Shs22,000 at Kamukunji police Station on 6th November.

The stolen phones were discovered from technicians at the repair shop and they had no idea how they came into their hands.

Ms Nkirote has also been accused of holding stolen gadgets, having suspected stolen possessions and owning fake documents such as ID card which bears her photo, but different names.

She has been charged with deceitfully holding 2 mobile phones knowingly.

She claims her husband Inspector Kairu Francis being behind her tribulation.

Ms Nkirote was one of the people who appeared at Kamukungi police Station to identify stolen and recovered gadgets.

During the sifting process, she was spotted behaving suspiciously by some of the police officers who carefully observed her before inspector Kairu called a female police officer who searched her and recovered the mobile phones in her breasts.

This woman was arraigned Makadara court then later freed on cash bail of Ksh20,000.
