Woman Kills Husband After Intending To Reunite With First Wife

Police in Kisii County Kenya on Thursday morning rescued a woman believed to be in her 40s together with her male friend from a throng that wanted to beat them to death after the woman made a confession planning to kill her 42 year-old husband identified as Mogire Nelson.

Mogire is said to have been murdered by a gang of 3 men who were holding machetes and pangas in Chirenge Village, Matunwa sub-location in Kiogoro, Kisii County on Wednesday night.

According to the deceased’s younger brother Nyamao James, Nelson had earlier informed his family that he was planning to reunite with his first wife, whom he parted ways with ten years ago. His 2^nd wife became a problem since she heard the shocking news.

He began preparing for her return by constructing for her a house just next to where Nelson and the second wife lived, something that made the 2^nd wife mad.

When she heard about her husband’s intentions, she tried as much as possible to convince him not to allow the first wife to return, but the husband stood by his word, ‘his younger brother revealed.

On Wednesday night, a gang of three men attacked the couple’s house holding machetes and pangas and killed the man before taking off.

On Thursday morning, residents found Nelson’s body outside his house.

Residents immediately suspected the woman and her male friend, started hitting them with blows before she confessed what exactly happened on Wednesday night.

Angry mob were about to set the duo ablaze before being rescued by area assistant chief Orioro Benedict and police who reached the scene on time.

The due were rushed to the nearby healthcare centre for treatment before they were charged.

Police attached to Kiogoro police station later went to Nelson’s home and collected his body and transported it to the hospital mortuary as investigations into the matter began.
