World Bank said it considers the West African country, Nigeria as a priority in terms of promoting programs and ideas which can easily support the development of the African continent.

The bank said it was doing all what it can to make sure it can support the growth of Nigerian economy in order to achieve developmental goals.
Our main objective on the African continent was to assist Africa to grow, according to World Bank vice president, Mr Ghanem Hafez.
When we talk about African growth, we definitely think of Nigeria because it has the biggest economy in Africa. Therefore, according to our view, If Nigeria grows, Africa will generally grow and that is what we at the World Bank believe in.
Nigeria has the highest priority and we want to figureout how we can easily assist the economy of Nigeria to grow faster so that it was achieve it’s developmental goals,’’said Hafez.
Nigerian Finance minister said that World bank is continuing to accelerate growth in a number of sectors like Power, Education, Health Water etc. He however said World Bank have sponsored a number of projects in Nigeria especially at the Sub-National government level.
