The world’s oldest person has turned 117 years old

Misao Okawa is the oldest person in the world according to Guinness records, in 2013, she is the world’s oldest Japanese woman and a great grand-mother. She lives in osaka, japan. She was born on March, 5th 1898, married in 1919, unfortunately she lost her husband in 1931 and she is now a mother of three children, grandmother of four, and great grand of six.

In the photo above she was with her great-grandchild by the name of Himaki, and grandchild Takako Okawa on her 117th birthday celebration at Kurenai Nursing Home in Osaka, Japan on March 4, 2015.When she was asked about how she managed to live for all those years, she said that “ she also wonders about that too and she does not seem like it’s a long time”.

This oldest person claims she is healthy!

She has amazingly lived through 2 world wars and according to the nursing home where she is currently living, she is healthy and eats well.
