Ivorian Yaya Toure Wins 2015 BBC African Footballer Of The Year Award

The 32 year old Ivory Coast and Manchester City mid-fielder Yaya Toure, has been voted once again as the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2015, he has joined the likes of Nigerian legends, Austin Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu, who also won this award twice.

Yaya Toure first won this title in 2013

He said all the other four nominees are also champions and he’s happy that African football is now much better because young players are seriously coming up successfully.

Five players where nominated for BBC African footballer of the year and these included Andre Ayew, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Yacine Brahimi, Yaya Toure and Sadio Mane but the Ivorian player, Yaya Toure won the award.
