Ykee Benda Calls On President Museveni To Buy His Album

Musician Wycliffe Tugume aka Ykee Benda has come out to call on President Museveni to buy his music album.

The Mpaka records CEO a few days ago released his much anticipated Kirabo album that is currently doing well.

Benda called upon the President to buy the album since he told them to re-invent themselves. The Superman singer even set the price on which the President shall purchase his copy.

“Your Excellency Kaguta Museveni ….I want you to buy one copy of my album Kirabo.
You told us to re-invent ourselves and I have set up a platform where my fans can buy music using Mobile Money.
I can’t thank them enough.
Your copy is just 35m.
Thank you in Advance.” Ykee Benda tweeted.

It should be recalled that during his past speeches, Mr Museveni has constantly told musicians to reinvent themselves and get something to do.

This is due to the fact that performances with fans look like they won’t be okayed in the near future.

This is a result of the nature of the musicians’ work that requires the gathering of many people with no social distancing.

And with the country still grappling with COVID-19, musicians indeed look like they are not about to hit the stage anytime soon.

Most of these have resorted to online performances and selling their music online.
