Top 10 Highest Paid Models in The World – 2016

For fashion’s elite, follower count has finally turned into fiscal fortitude. Though Gisele Bündchen still leads the world’s top-earning models with $30.5 million, Kendall Jenner (No. 3) and newcomer Gigi Hadid (No. 5) have risen up the ranks by turning their outsized Instagram followings into multi-million dollar paydays.

Gisele remains the woman to catch: The 36-year-old has made more money than any other model since 2002. She banks big from lucrative fragrance and beauty deals with Chanel , Carolina Herrera and Pantene, plus advertisements for Arezzo shoes and SkyTV in her native Brazil. More than a clotheshorse, her own line of lingerie and skincare help set her earnings apart.

Here’s the list of the highest paid models

 1.) Gisele Bundchen – $33 million

The queen of modeling reigns supreme! Since 2002, Gisele has made more money than any other model, topping the list this year with an estimated $30.5 million. Even with a 30% drop from last year’s $44 million mark, the 36-year-old catwalk queen is still way ahead of her competitors.

2). Adriana Lima – $10.5 million

She sure has a lot to smile about! Even though she might be getting older, Adriana Lima proved that she’s still in high demand as she closed in on her biggest paycheck yet in 2016. The Brazilian beauty totaled $10.5 million this year, thanks to contracts with Victoria’s Secret, Maybelline and IWC watches, to name a few, she’s among the top paid models.

3). Kendal Jenner – $ 10 million

Quickly working her way up the chain is socialite Kendall Jenner, who made a whopping $10 million this year. In just a year, Jenner climbed from the number 16 spot to the number 3 spot and saw a 150% increase in her salary. Her massive social media presence might have something to do with landing major contracts with companies like Estee Lauder and Calvin Klein.

4). Karlie Kloss -$10 million

Tied with Kendall Jenner for the third spot is Karlie Kloss, who also was able to climb up the scale by doubling her salary from 2015. Although you won’t catch Karlie strutting down the runway during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show anymore, she’s certainly made up for it with the most number of ad campaigns and major contracts than any other model. She’s the face of brands like L’Oreal, Express and most recently Swarovski.

5). Gigi Hadid – $9 million

Following not too far behind her bff, Gigi Hadid is also shaking up the modeling industry and finally made her way onto the list this year with an impressive salary of $9 million. Before even turning 22-years-old, Gigi scored massive contracts with brands like Maybelline and Tommy Hilfiger, even getting her own line with the retail giant this year.
