3 people have died and 12 others were badly wounded in road accident on Wednesday at Namataba in Mukono District.

The accident which involved a cargo truck and a 14 seater taxi heading to Uganda’s capital Kampala shocked the residents of Namataba after colliding with a cargo truck at around 9am.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, My Onyango Patrick, the 14 seater taxi driver who was boldly overtaking a fleet of vehicles, unexpectedly lost control and collided with the cargo truck.
The truck driver identified as Mr Yusuf Giry was arrested on spot and detained at Mukono Police Station as investigations into the incidence is underway.
The three dead bodies were driven to the Hospital mortuary and those critically wounded were taken to Kawolo Hospital.
5 people died on Masaka road in Mpigi District on Tuesday when a bus from Global bus company rammed into a 14 seater taxi.
Let’s pray for our Country, accidents are becoming rampant and claiming our people in a terrific disastrous manner, killing people every now and then.
