Andrew Mwenda Asks Police To Arrest MK Supporters

The Spokesperson of the MK movement, Andrew Mwenda has implored the Police to arrest some of this movement’s supporters. Mwenda through his X page labeled these people as unscrupulous.

He added that it has come to their attention how these people are using MK number plates to violate traffic laws and also commit other crimes.

Apparently, this is not the code of conduct of this movement according to Mwenda. This is because it’s committed to the rule of law. He, therefore, told Police not to hesitate in apprehending them in case they are caught red-handed committing these crimes that taint the movement.

“It has come to our notice that some unscrupulous persons using MK number plates violate traffic rules and commit other misdemeanors. This is to inform everyone that the MK Movement is committed to the rule of law. Police should not hesitate to apprehend such offenders,” he tweeted.

Additionally, the Independent Magazine boss asked all MK affiliates to be law-abiding citizens. They should exhibit proper conduct because they are agents of the first son and probable presidential material.

Besides, Mwenda said that the perpetrators of these crimes might not even be genuine MK supporters. But rather saboteurs who indulge in these misdemeanors just for the sale of discrediting the MK movement.

It should be recalled that this movement led by President Museveni’s son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba is looking to challenge for the presidency. This could either be as early as 2026 or after.

Museveni seems bent on his son succeeding him in a position that is non hereditary. The President has failed to strongly condemn the first son’s several violations of the army laws such as political rallies when one is an active army officer.
