Another Lock Down For South Africa As Covid Cases Go Higher

South Africa has decided to announce another lockdown due to the surging coronavirus cases that have passed the 1Milion mark. On top of that, they even discovered the mutant coronavirus case that is apparently torturing England in South Africa.

His excellence Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of south Africa said a new ban has been put on alcohol sales and curfew beginning 9pm to 6pm.

In light of the emergency meeting between the president and the cabinet, what was decided was that there will be 14 day lockdown. This started at midnight on 28th December 2020. During this lockdown indoor and outdoor gatherings are prohibited.

In an exceptional way however, funerals, gyms, casinos restaurants and museums will remain operating but while observing the necessary SOPs.

Now that the variant virus is also in Africa already, this means all the African countries now have to be very vigilant and careful. Europe had reacted fast enough and closed down all boarders to England so that the Virus doesn’t spread as fast.

However just like the first virus that is actually still around, there is no guarantee that any person is safe but it doesn’t mean to live recklessly.

Countries like Uganda are still fighting to constrain the spread of the Coronavirus and it has even affected the elections. Physically campaigns were prohibited in about 13 cities just to avoid the gathering of masses.

However if all this doesn’t work as planned, perhaps the only solution left will be another lockdown to save lives.
