Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka Reportedly Rejects Inter Milan Move

Swiss professional footballer Granit Xhaka, currently playing for the English club Arsenal has reportedly turned down a mega million January 2021 move to Italian giants Inter Milan.

Inter Milan chiefs are said to be interested in the 28-year-old midfielder and are said to be ready to offer the Gunners Christian Eriksen in a swap deal.

Antonio Conte who is in charge of the San Siro team is planning to bolster his squad when the January 2021 transfer window opens.

NEWSLEXPOINT.com understands Conte had identified Xhaka among his winter targets. Unfortunately, the midfielder is not keen on a move away from Arsenal.

The Italian manager might therefore turn his attention to Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante. He coached Kante during his spell at the Stamford Bridge club. Xhaka has become a core member of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side. He has played in seven of the Gunners’ nine Premier League games so far this season.

However, signing Kante from Chelsea will be hard for Inter. This is in consideration of his superb performances since the France international started playing for the Blues. Granit Xhaka joined Arsenal four years ago from Borussia Monchengladbach.

While at Borussia, he played 108 games scoring six goals before moving to the Emirates. He has since played 137 games so far scoring eight goals for the Premier League giants.
