Attackers Kill UPDF Soldier, Steal His Gun

Security officers have launched a manhunt for attackers who murdered a UPDF soldier and also stole his gun in Mubende District on Tuesday.

The attackers stole the firearm from Cpl Turyaheebwa Godfrey from Mubende Military Rehabilitation Centre.

On Wednesday night, the victim lost his life at Mubende Regional Referral Hospital where he was taken after the incident.

The RDC of Mubende District, Ms Nyakwera Baguma Mary, who is also the chairperson of the District Security Committee, revealed that the deceased was attacked inside the barracks.

According to Mubende District Chairman Mr Kibuuka Francis, Turyaheebwa was hit with a solid object.
