Broke Ashburg Katto Reportedly Survives On One Meal Per Day

Former Facebook and faded NRM blogger Ashburg Katto is reportedly living like a very poor man and survives on one meal per day in the suburbs of Namasuba area.

Ashburg Katto whose official Facebook page was suspended for violating Facebook terms, is reportedly living like a beggar. It is said that he cannot even afford a simple meal at an average restaurant.

The Ugandan blogger has been off social media nearly two months and this has left him in total depression.

Some of his close friends revealed that he is now depending on friends and family members for survival.

Katto was badly affected after Facebook deleted his official page. He is now broke and surviving on handouts and a few family members. his source of income was crippled,” a close friend told Howwebiz.

Ashburg claimed that his account was banned by Facebook at the request of the National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine’s managers in USA.

He therefore asked the Ugandan president to shut Facebook in Uganda until his account is restored.

Facebook later declared why they suspended accounts belonging to Ugandan officials.

In a statement released by Facebook’s head of communication for Sub-Saharan Africa, Kezia Anim-Addo, the social media giant claimed that the said accounts were suspended over Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior (CIB).

Other affected bloggers include Isma Olaxess, Jennifer Full Figure, Bajjo Events etc.

In similar news earlier published by NEWSLEXPOINT.com, American social media giant Facebook pulled its gun triggers on NRM bloggers and pro-NRM social media users. A number of NRM leaning social media users woke up to find Facebook had deleted their accounts without an explanation.

In a targeted attack on NRM bloggers, Facebook did not allow any of the affected individuals to appeal and restore their deleted accounts.
