Patients And Their Attendants Panic As Caterpillars Invade Jinja Hospital

Both patients and their helpers at Jinja hospital rushed for safety following the seizure of poisonous caterpillars in the premature babies’ ward and in the maternity facility.

These dangerous caterpillars have eaten up almost all the leaves on a ‘’Jambula’’ or ‘’Jambolan tree which is just very near the wards, others have sneaked in to the hospital and some have entered the water tanks.

Some patients are in total fear after seeing the worm-like insects sneaking in to the babies’ ward saying their newly born babies’ might get injured by these toxic caterpillars.

One of the patients by the names of Nabwire Jane lamented that she knows these worm-like insects are dangerous and she can spend sleepless nights trying to imagine they have climbed her bed.

Mr Azalwa Dison, one of the attendants whose wife just gave birth, appealed to the government and concerned authorities to intervene in this horrible situation before it becomes rampant.
