However, according to Ssempa, this is not something derived from the Bible. It’s rather a doctrine from the Roman Catholic church and it must be removed by all means.
Furthermore, Ssempa said that as Africans, there is a need for decolonization. He gave an example of things like planets which he said that although they exist, they are named after white gods. Days of the week should also be renamed and he’s on the journey to do just that.
“The idea that priests should not marry is not a biblical concept. It is a Roman Catholic Church concept and we must remove it. Priests must marry. We need to decolonize everything. These planets do exist, however they are named after the gods of White people. Those names are not in the Bible. I think we need to decolonize the days of the week. I am on that journey.”

Furthermore, the pastor doesn’t want Africans preaching the word of God dressed in European clothes.
They should be wearing leopard skin, sacks, and barkcloth and holding traditional sticks. Besides he’s also partnering with other brains to decolonise Christianity.
He also gave an example of Christmas which is about the birth of Jesus Christ, Mary and Joseph. But for the Whites, it’s about Santa Claus and Father Christmas which is all wrong.
Meanwhile, Ssempa also said that he’s in court against Makerere University. This is because they stopped his church, Makerere Community church which was operating inside the university. They claim that it’s working illegally which the pastor opposes.
