Chicken Which Killed 6 Month Old Baby Has Been Killed By Angry Residents

A 6 month old baby boy known as Hagai has died as a result of shock after being assaulted by a female chicken at his home village in Shikokhwe Kakamega County Kenya.

The incident happened during the time the broody chicken was busy protecting her chicks at the farm.

The deceased’s mother Ms Toboko Robai told media that her family has experienced a great shock amid festive season.

The hen shocked baby Hagai and collapsed while in her mother’s arms.

Neighbours were called for help by the baby’s mother, but efforts to rescue the baby’s life was ineffectual and he finally died.

My son’s health was good but shocked to death after the attack. By the time my baby was attacked, I was carrying him in my left arm while holding one of  the chicks in my other hand,’she said.

The residents were not easily convinced on what really happened to the hen that is reported to have shocked the baby to death. They decided to get it slaughtered.
