Congolese National Arrested For Stabbing Colleague To Death Over Piece Of Soap

A refugee who is a Congolese national has been arrested on offences of murder after stabbing his colleague at Kisenyi Township in Central Division, Kampala City.

Today, two Congolese refugees had a misunderstanding over a piece of soap.

Its alleged that one only known as Kasanavo Capeche went to a restaurant where INYATI MULAGA CLAUDIA works and grabbed a piece of soap to use.

The Congolese national got annoyed, grabbed a knife and stabbed Kasanova, who died instantly.

The community arrested Mulaga and handed him over to the police. He is detained at Old Kampala Police Station on murder charges.

The body of the deceased was taken to city mortuary in Mulago for postmortem examination. The Detectives recovered two knives with suspected blood stains from the scene.

Police appeals to the community not resolve issues through violent means, but seek amicable methods.

In other news earlier reported by NEWSLEXPOINT.com, a 23 year old man identified as Onyango Oduor Kelvin was on Sunday arrested in Siaya County Southwestern part of Kenya with a gun allegedly stolen from a police station last year.

Onyango was apprehended by detectives who had arrived as buyers, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

In the course of arrest, the detective officers also recovered a G3 fire-battle rifle with 13 rounds of ammunition which was stolen from Umala Police station in 2019.
