Diamond Accuses Tanzania Revenue Authority For Over Taxing Him

Tanzanian artiste Nasibu Abdul Juma popularly known as Diamond Platnumz is not shocked on how the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has been has been taxing his concerts and his Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB).

The matter that came up after the ‘’Inama’’ Hit maker was situated on both jux and other musicians, visited a base operated by Tanzania Revenue Authority in Iringa town in central Tanzania and found out that he was being treated unfairly by over taxing him.

In the voice recording that lasted 20 minutes, Diamond claimed that TRA has been exploiting him by over draining abnormal taxes on each and every concert despite his WCB submitting returns after every annual period.

He stated that TRA must make a clarification as to why it demands cancellation from posters, PA systems, permits and banners on addition to what local government insists on.

“Sisi kama Wasafi Classic Record ni safi, kila mwaka tunalipa kodi zetu sawa na washindani wetu … Kuna mahali tunaambiwa bango moja la A4 linapaswa kulipa Sh135 (Tsh3000) kwa siku. Kwa hivyo, siwezi kutangaza na watu wanakuja siku ileile. Niliweka bango kwa siku tatu kwa Sh405 (Tsh9000), ”alibaini Diamond.
