Doctor Sentenced To 12 Years In Jail For Defiling 14-Year-Old Girl

A 36 year old doctor identified as Kimotho Samuel has been subjected to 12 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 14 year old girl in Kathonzweni, Makueni County Kenya.

On Friday, senior principal Magistrate Mwaniki James of Kakueni court found Kimotho guilty of defiling the young girl inside his house near Kathonzweni market on 27^th February 2019.

Prosecution told court that the suspect persuaded the minor to his house after she went to Kathonzweni District Hospital where the doctor was employed to fill up a P3 form regarding prior defilement experience.

According to the prosecutor, the young girl together with her aunt went to the hospital on 25^th February, but the medical officer told them to get back in the next two days.

The young girl however returned to the hospital alone and Kimotho took advantage by luring her to his house where he sexually assaulted her.

After conducting the heinous act, the medical officer instructed the young girl to have a quick bath inside his house in an attempt to mask the evidence.

The suspect was apprehended after neighbors alerted police claiming to have spotted the girl entering Kimotho’s house.

In alleviation, the accused asked court for leniency saying he supports his family and already a father. I regret acting awfully,’he said.
