In a bid to support youth innovations and entrepreneurship drive among the youth at university level, International University of East Africa (IUEA) is hosting entrepreneurship championship on Monday 25th at the university in Kansanga.
Cuthbert Atwongeire university marketing coordinator says the drive is help youth start businesses at early age to overcome wide-spread unemployment.
According to Uganda national bureau of statistics close to 400,000 youth join the job market however majority cannot be observed in the job market because of lack of experience and skills desired in the labour market.
Hassan Alwi university director who believes entrepreneur as yardstick to youth unemployment encouraged youths to join business start-ups at an early age to avoid falling in the unemployment trap.
IUEA is a private University licensed by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), and draws Students from the rest of the world.
IUEA is multicultural and international University that is driving innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa.

IUEA also offers the international Foundation Programme (IFP), CISCO,special language classes, certificate in short courses and diploma that prepare students for both employment and entry into degree programmes.
