Faded Singer Samo Kagati Escapes From Rehab

News reaching our entertainment desk indicates that faded Ugandan singer, Samo Kagati, has apparently escaped from rehabilitation where he’s been receiving treatment. The singer was admitted some time back over heavy drug abuse.

Samo Kagati is famously known for his songs such as Money, Kyekyo ft Gravity, Yona ft Irene Ntale. The news was revealed by Sanyuka TV’s Uncut show hosts, Kaiyz and Zahara Toto.

These also said that Samo Kagati was deported from the diaspora due to the abuse of drugs. Life became a mess for him as he had his white girlfriend snatched by a close friend.

It’s also said that the singer had a number of assets such as schools in Mukono but sold them off. This however was not able to sustain him as the addiction grew.

He even became mentally sick which saw him roam around streets of Kampala until they took him into rehab. His music career was already good as gone by the time the addiction set in.

Drug addiction is one of the biggest problems hindering the progress of a number of musicians. Artists such as Rocky Giant, Fille, Jackie Chandiru are fighting drug addiction and in rehab.

Some have succumbed to the vice directly or indirectly while others have never admitted to abusing these drugs although it’s a public secret that they do.

Efforts have not yet been intensified to tackle this issue in the music industry with only a few bits being thrown about it.
