Gen David Sejusa Reveals How He Fought With President Idi Amin’s Son At University

Former Intelligence chief, Gen David Sejusa has revealed that he fought with the late former President of Uganda Idi Amin’s Son, Taban Amin. He revealed this while commenting about the issues NUP and Mathias Mpuuga.

One of Sejusa ‘s followers told him that NUP is tough and can’t be like the NRM. The General said that the NUP president is not the toughest at fighting corruption.

There was Amin before who used to shoot and behead alleged thieves without even trial. Therefore, there is always a need to handle issues via committees, a thing NUP never did.

Another follower of the General told him that the former President was able to achieve a lot in 8 years. However, the NRM even with the ‘pampering’ of the international community which Amin didn’t have has underperformed.

The 1986 bush war veteran said that he doesn’t want to debate the ex-president a lot because he was a creature shaped by his time. But one day Ugandans who wish he was still ruling will one day get a taste of these wishes.

It was here that another follower told him that Amin was a good president. And the NRA class of 1986 has just been scaremongering people about his reign.

The General narrated how Amin was tough. He told a story of how he was thrown behind bars after fighting with Taban Amin.

Read his statement below;

“Just shut-up! What do you know about Amin? I did my Secondary education under him. Did my High school under him. Completed my University under him. Addressed him TWICE as Student Leader. Was detained twice under him. Fought with his son(Taban) in Mitchell Hall. NEED NO KADOGO’s LECTURE!.”

The reason for this fight was that Taban had taken over Mitchell Wardens Flat and made it his accommodation. When other students told him he couldn’t do this, he paid a deaf ear and a fight ensued.

There was chaos all over Makerere University as his dad’s jeeps flooded the campus. Eventually, Taban was withdrawn from the University.
