Gen Katumba Wamala Expresses Gratitude Towards His Guard And Boda Boda Rider Who Helped Him

Gen. Katumba Wamala Has expressed his gratitude towards his guard and motorcycle rider who helped him. His bodyguard, Sargent Khalid Koboyoit, who survived without any injury shot in the air as the tormentors were shooting at them. He has gone on social media and expressed gratitude towards the guard for saving his life.

“Allow me to thank my escort, Sgt. Khalid Koboyoit for evacuating me from the crime scene as fast as he did and for shooting back at the terrorists. Things could have been worse,” Gen Katumba said.

The former Minister of Works and Transport, Gen Edward Katumba Wamala also appreciated the motorcycle rider who rode him to hospital. Gen. Katumba suffered injuries from the shots and amidst that chaos, a motorcycle rider rushed him to a nearby clinic.

“I would like in a special way to thank the boda boda man who forced me on his boda so that I can go and get first aid. In the same spirit, I would thank Malcolm Healthcare Kisasi for everything they did to stop the bleeding. That first aid helped so much.”

However, the former minister says he can’t wait for the assailants to get prosecuted in court. They will be facing cases of murder because two people died and attempted murder.

“I pray that one day soon, the terrorists that tried to assassinate me and took the lives of my daughter Brenda and driver Haruna will be brought to book,” he said.

Museveni on the hand reacting to this incident said these criminals will be defeated as they did in the past.
