Government Agencies Challenged To Address Business Bottlenecks

Gabriel Ajedra Finance State in charge of general duties has challenged officials in Ministries and agencies to address all obstacles that hinder private sector from competing favorably in the global business arena.

Ajedra says most officials in these agencies have failed to tackle legal and technical issues that hinder business competitiveness.

He was officiating at  the 10th national competitiveness forum held under the theme:Enhancing competitiveness in Uganda’s Agro industry at Mestil Hotel.

He advised technical officers to create enabling environment for enterprise growth and further business competitiveness.

“Every one of us will retire in to the private sector. It is therefore our responsibility to create right environment that we will further encourage more people to join the private sector alleviate poverty ,” Ajedra asked

He relatedly asked the financial sector to support business community by lowering interest rates and those entrepreneurs operating businesses to formalize their businesses for growth.

Dr. James Kanyijje who runs KK foods one of  the leafing vegetable exporter as government to support agriculture entrepreneurs to access inputs and global markets
