Employees needs consistent monitoring and supervision to avoid negligence and misconduct. You will need to come up with procedures on how things should be done. You will need to create a culture that employees will practice in order to deliver good service aligned to the company goals.
Create positions for your stuff, (company organogram) this is a company structure that shows hierarchical relationships between managers and the people who report to them, as well as departments. Once this is established it will help as a chain of command and communication system within the organization. It brings order and smooth operation.
You will need to create job description for every position. Operations manual should be created for positions not for individuals because individuals will come and go but the position remains. Upcoming entrepreneurs always make a mistake of creating job descriptions focusing on the person who is occupying the position and such job descriptions might not work for the other person if you are to recruit a new person.
Once you expand your business to two or more branches, you yourself sees to focus on one branch. You automatically become the overseer of the whole company. You should be able to monitor operations of each branch and know what is happening in every branch.
If you are not smart enough, this is the time your employees can steal from you until you are broke. We call it mismanagement.
Don’t be afraid to grow and expand, just be smart enough to know how to manage it. Develop ability to do multi task and working beyond normal hours.
