Husband Denies Wife Sex For 21 Years, Court Grants Her Divorce

In a bizarre case that has left many confused, a court in Tanzania has dissolved the marriage between gospel singer, Rebecca Magaba, and Zabron Maselege. This came after the couple failing to consummate the marriage for 21 years.

In the dissolution, the court ordered equitable division of assets accumulated during the marriage. A 10-acre farm located in Bagamoyo, two shops located in Bonyokwa and a tree farm located in Kigoma were given to Maselege. Meanwhile, Rebecca kept a real estate property in Madale, Dar es Salaam.

While giving evidence in court on why the marriage should be dissolved, Rebecca claimed that they failed to have sexual intercourse during the 21 years of marriage. Her now ex-husband suffered from cryptorchidism (undescended testicle).

Resident Magistrate, Mwinyiheri Kondo said the court has decided to dissolve the marriage. This was after satisfying itself that the couple is doing things contrary to marital expectations.

The woman who felt uncomfortable because of too much love from the husband appeared at a Shariah court in Fujairah City, United Arab Emirates. The lady complained of her husband’s extreme love and affection. She added that she can’t stand this anymore.

According to the woman, she has waited in vain for at least a single day of disagreement. The lady claimed her lovely husband always forgave her even when she intentionally tried to annoy him. Instead, he would shower her with continuous gifts on a daily basis.

“Am longing for a real dispute, not just a smoothie-paved kind of life full of respectful and mindful behaviour,’ she told court.
