Husband And Wife Commit Suicide Over Being In Marriage For 10 Years Without Child

Shocking news that hit our desk this morning indicates that an Assistant professor from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India ended his life together with his wife last night.

The couple committed suicide because they failed to get a child after ten years of their marriage.
The bodies were discovered by neighbors in their house on the campus premises.

Professor Jayabalan Rasu, 37, and his wife Kesavan Malvi, 35, were found dead at their house after the neighbors felt a funky smell coming out from their house, as they came closer, there was no response from the inside, only to find the doors locked, so they informed police right away.

Police arrived very fast and forced their way in after breaking the front door and found professor’s body in the bathroom and for his wife was found lying on the bed.

The couple left a six page shocking suicide note written in English and Tamil language in which they included the reason behind their brutal decision.

According to Mr Sarangi Sarthak, the Rourkela Superintendent of Police, both the husband and wife first vomited before they died, therefore they decided to use poison as the easiest means to end their lives.

”We were distressed because we failed to have a child after 10 years in marriage, we could not bear with it any longer, it’s too shameful, ‘’part of the suicide note reads.

The experts examined the bodies and sent them in the hospital for post-mortem. Police finally announced that there is no one held accountable for their death.
