According to the politician, adopting her man’s name means that he’s the one owning her. She, therefore, will keep hers and he will keep his.
“I don’t intend to be owned by anyone. I don’t intend to lose my identity & adopt the man’s identity. My man will keep his names, I will keep mine,” she tweeted.

This is a notion that has largely been propagated by some feminists. Some women feel that it’s not right to drop their names and adopt their husbands’ names after marriage.
They feel it’s something unfair and part of the gender inequality issues. It should therefore be addressed.
Nyanjura first and foremost has no known man despite being 33 years old now. Her intimate life is one that has been up for public questioning, especially through her Twitter page.
She last month told those looking for her husband that they would never find any. They can Google and turn all pages upside down but their searches will never amount to anything.
Furthermore, she stated that she has never sought a man nor husband but only has a partner and this is all she’s ever wanted.
Rumors have been flying for some time that she has a secretive intimate relationship with the lord mayor Erias Lukwago. This is however just a rumour.
