This all stems from Zaake’s unbecoming behavior towards the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon Anita Among.
Ssemujju says that NUP has always declined to work with them even when they were willing to engage with it. They decided to handpick individuals and Hon Mapinduzi was among those taken.
The FDC spokesperson is therefore glad that the same people they took are now the ones fighting the party.
“Our colleagues didn’t want to work with the institution of FDC. They handpicked commissioners. I am now happy that one of the people they handpicked (Hon. Mapenduzi) is the one that has turned against them. It is good music to me,” Hon Ssemujju said while appearing on NBS TV’S Morning Breeze program.
The outspoken MP however said that the door remains open for them to work with NUP. He further said that he’s willing to support the Leader Of Opposition Hon Mathias Mpuuga.
Besides he would also be willing to rally other FDC members to support their fellow Opposition leaders.
As per the motion to censure Hon Jim Muhwezi in Parliament over torture, Hon Ssemujju said that he’s going to sign the motion today. This is because FDC does not condone torture of any kind in the country.
He also said that as Opposition, they must work hand in hand to influence Parliament.
