It should be recalled that the Nakyuka singer dominated the headlines a few months ago because of this issue. This was after she alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a top government official.
Many people came out to draw conclusions and speculate who it could have been. This is after Sheebah refused to mention a name and let speculation roam around.
A number of public figures such as the first son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, journalist Andrew Mwenda and Gilbert Bukenya’s names were mentioned by netizens.
Mwenda and Muhoozi came out to distance themselves from this unfortunate incident. Bukenya who stayed mute just addressed it and threw a hint that it could have been him.
He said that people always have time for nothing and give relevance to things that don’t deserve it. Further, he said that the singer hadn’t even mentioned any names and therefore the issue should have been watered down.
“Ugandans are so idle and lack what to do. That was such a minor issue that didn’t even require attention. They however gave it relevance and blew it out of proportion. But luckily it cooled down and went no where,” said Bukenya.
The now retired politician also said that he’s going to invite different religious leaders later this month. He wants them to pray for him since he’s currently financially dormant.
