The build-up to this fight was an epic moment as Iron Mike brought out the violent fierce character in him when he slapped Jake. He said that his opponent had stepped on his toe which he doesn’t like at all.
Apparently, Jake declared Iron Mike the greatest of all time while delivering his speech after being declared the winner. He said that he looked up to him while growing up and the former heavyweight boxer was Jake Paul’s father’s most favorite boxer.
Meanwhile, Jake Paul pocketed a whooping 40 million dollars while Mike took home 20 million dollars.
This fight nonetheless did not live up to some people’s expectations as they thought it was staged. This was due to the fact that Iron Mike didn’t seem like he wanted to hit Jake despite his advanced age.
Considered the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time, Mike Tyson retired from boxing in 2005. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2011. He had last fought in a 2020 exhibition match against former four-division world champ Roy Jones Jr.
