In last night’s game between the Heat and the Bucks, Giannis Antentokunmpo could only watch as he sat out the game. The Miami heat proved they could handle the Bucks with or without their star Antentokunmpo and they did.
After the Bucks forcing a game 5, the Heat came back determined to avoid a game 6 and won 103-94. Antentokunmpo couldn’t play due to his sprained right ankle.
‘’We have deep respect for that franchise and it’s unfortunate that Giannis couldn’t play tonight,’’ Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said.
While Boston and Toronto battle to decide who will advance, Miami Heat will wait eagerly for their next face-off. It’s Miami’s first time in the Eastern Conference Finals since 2014 and they hope to take the trophy to their trophy chest. As for Jimmy Butler, it’s his first time to go this deep into the play offs.
Butler said it meant a lot to him but that is not his goal or any of his teammates, he said they want to win a championship. And they now need 8 wins to secure the title.
The decision to discontinue Antentokunmpo from playing happened about 45 minutes before the game. He said he wanted to play and so did everyone else but the organization put his health over game 5.
