Kenya to Host U.N Conference on Trade & Devpt

Kenyan government has signed a joint statement witnessed by President Uhuru Kenyatta announcing that its ready to host the 14th quadrennial United Nations Conference on Trade and Development ( UNCTAD ) which will be initiated on 17th to 22nd July 2016.

The joint statement was signed by the secretary general of UNCTAD, Dr Mukhisa Kituyi and foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed in the presence of Uhuru Kenyatta at the State House, Nairobi where they announced the Global meeting.

The U.N Trade and Development summit will help Kenya’s growth economically.

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development ( UNCTAD ) will be in conjuction with Global Commodities Forum aswell as World Investment Forum and this simply means Kenya will have a unique business opportunity, it will also bring together a number of heads of state and Government, Civil society, Academia and world corporate leaders.

Kenya is looking forward to welcome the world for the first United Nations Implementation Conference and currently the senior officials of UNCTAD and government are undergoing the preparations for July Conference.
