A Kenyan man identified as Langat Peter killed his two children in Bomet County on Friday night after an argument with his wife over maize flour of about four kilograms.

Langat who is a casual labourer at Shiomo tea factory reportedly said to have experienced a domestic disagreement with his wife over unknown amount of money he gave her to buy the maize flour for home use, but she used the money for other things.
The mother to the children managed to escape unhurt in the deadly incident that took place on Friday night at around 10pm. She however reported the matter to Konoin police station.
The commander of Konoin Sub County Mr Shikondi Alex said the incident took place at Konoin Constituency.
During the quarrel, the wife to the accused sensed danger and decided to prepare food for the family very fast and ran with her children seeking for refuge at her husband’s brother at the neighourhood,’said Mr Alex.
This Kenyan man reportedly followed the wife and the kids to his brother’s home where he cut his children to death with a panga before escaping in the night.
The 4 year old Kipkemoi Elivias and his elder brother Kipkirui Boaz of 6 years were rushed to the hospital where the medical officers pronounced them dead upon arrival.
Police in the area has already launched a manhunt and appealed to the general public to provide more information of his whereabout which may quickly lead to his arrest.
The bodies have been taken to the mortuary for postmortem at Kapkatet Hospital.
