We Fail To Sleep Because Of Noisy Bars – Kololo Residents Tell Court

Kololo residents in Kampala Central Division are seriously against the bars, night clubs and their landlords over too much noise in the area.

Those that are complaining are occupiers and property owners residing mainly on Acacia Avenue road, Someo Road and Windsor Crescent in Kololo and they are strongly against operation of night clubs and bars in their location.

Night clubs and bars allegedly started five years ago hosting late night parties, music concerts for different artistes, drumming and making other funny noises.

The residents said the bar operators have continuously installed big screens with big noisy speakers and strong flashlights which reflects in their property accompanied by maximum noise levels, which makes their lives uncomfortable.

Nevertheless, they have unceasingly allowed the use of intoxicants such as alcohol and tobacco consumption which always circulate in the air affecting the environment and it puts the plaintiff’s health and their families at risk.
